Please join us on Tuesday September 29th for a virtual panel with some of PMI-CTT’s past Presidents. During this session, the impact of COVID-19 on the project management field will be discussed as well as the ‘new normal’ for the industry. The past presidents will reflect on similar experiences they encountered during their presidential period including during the 2008 recession.
The session will be moderated by PMI-CTT’s current President, Diogo Magalhaes, and will include opportunities for participants to comment and ask questions.

Marc Blanchette is Sr. Manager, Global Program Management at IBM Watson Health. He is also Past President for PMI Toronto Chapter and currently handling the membership portfolio after having served 2 years as President, Marc also serves on the Board of Advisors for Project World and was previously President for 5 years with PMI Canada’s Technology Triangle (CTT). Marc is a persuasive communicator, fluent in English and French, a resourceful and innovative leader who is skilled in engaging, developing and motivating team members, mentoring volunteers and providing an inclusive environment for all stakeholders in both his career and volunteer roles.
Ian Adare is a Professional Engineer and PMP certified with approximately 20+ years of experience spanning a variety of industries from Automotive to Health Care. He is currently working as a program manager at D2L and as a part time instructor of Project Manager at Conestoga College. Ian has been a guest speaker for various organizations including Wilfrid Laurier, the City of Guelph, and PMI-CTT. In his spare minutes, Ian is an avid photographer.
Diogo Magalhaes is a Project Management enthusiast with more than 19 years of experience in the Technology, Education and Government fields. He discovered his passion for Project Management when he started leading software development teams in Brazil. He has been involved with PMI for many years in Brazil through PMI-MG (Minas Gerais - Brazil Chapter) and since 2011 with PMI-CTT (Canada's Technology Triangle Chapter) where he is the current president. Diogo holds a degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Project Management and currently works with the City of Kitchener in Ontario, Canada leading Enterprise Projects in the Technology Innovation and Services Division.
